Frank Rogers continue a strong working relationship with Greenbank College with a further contract award transforming an underused campus building into new hotel style accommodation, providing safe, secure, and modern learning facilities supporting students across the North West.

Works Description

Refurbishment works at the Visitor Centre included; structural alteration forming new accommodation, circulation, and teaching spaces.  A new conference hub now provides additional income to the school.

Overcoming Disrepair

Prior to commencing interior works we identified dampness within the building, commissioning a full report revealing penetrating/raising damp.  We value engineered the specification identifying potential omissions, product changes facilitating damp remedial works within budget.

Safe Systems of Works

Working in partnership with the college throughout the Covid pandemic we introduced a safe system of work incorporating a larger contractor compound, additional welfare stations, with adequate delivery and storage areas, maintaining complete segregation from staff and students.

Customer Satisfaction & Testimony

Construction Manager, Dave Bracegirdle overseen the project from tender stage to completion building positive client relationships providing concise progress reports supported by anticipated final account submissions and regular joint site inspections achieving peace of mind for the client.

CEO, Mary Beaumont, commented

“Frank Rogers has recently completed a full renovation of Greenbank’s accommodation block. This is the second major project we have undertaken using the Frank Rogers Team. The work included the removal and replacement of existing kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms all with modern bespoke furniture. The old outdated rooms have been brought back to life to a standard equivalent to that of any high quality city centre hotel. The newly refurbished complex also includes a couple of small conference suites and the whole complex will now be used as a training facility for post-16 learners. As expected the attention to detail was first rate and, as I have come to expect from the team, they were very professional and responsive to client requests. The project was, once again, finished on time and to budget.”
