Construction of eight apartments on Lilac Drive in Northwich by principle contractor Frank Rogers is gathering pace.
Work at the £800,000 project for South Cheshire Housing has almost reached the critical half way stage as roofing works begin.
The new homes are being built on the site of a former allotment plot and will add much needed additional housing stock to the social landlord’s property portfoilo.
Featuring PV panels to the roof and stacked brickwork, the project is set for completion at the end of November.
Dean Rogers, Managing Director of Frank Rogers commented:
“We’re really pleased with the progress being made at Lilac Drive with all major milestones met. We are now at the half away stage with the frame and structure of the new building now in place.
“Whilst the site is fairly tight, we established a strategy from the outset allowing us to pre-empt and manage any potential issues, an approach that is working incredibly well.”
