The restoration of a former Welsh Chapel in Waterloo, once earmarked for demolition, has been shortlisted for the North west Local Authority Building Control Awards.
The building has made the grade in the ‘Best Change of Use of an Existing Building or Conversion’ category, with the winner set to be revealed at the Emirates Old Trafford at the end of April
The formerly derelict Welsh Church has been sympathetically converted to 6 high end apartments and 3 houses. Working closely alongside building control and conservation officers throughout the project, Frank Rogers have carefully restored many of the buildings original features, whilst incorporating modern functionality and design.
Dean Rogers, Managing Director Rogers commented:
“The transformation has been dramatic and to see our work recognised in the shortlist of the LABC awards is fantastic. We look forward to finding out the outcome on the night!”
