At Frank Rogers Building Contractors, we recognise the vital role our sector plays in reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment for future generations. We are fully committed to contributing to the UK’s Net Zero by 2050 target and are currently undertaking a comprehensive process to develop a formal Carbon Reduction Plan in line with the requirements of PPN 06/21 and wider sustainability best practice.
We are working to embed sustainability into every aspect of our operations — from how we manage our offices and sites, to how we procure, build, and maintain. Our Carbon Reduction Plan will outline how we intend to measure, manage, and reduce emissions across:
Scope 1: Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources (e.g. vehicles and on-site fuel use)
Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased energy (e.g. electricity for offices and sites)
Scope 3: All other indirect emissions, including those from supply chain activities, commuting, waste, and materials
Our sustainability and compliance teams are currently:
Collecting accurate data from across our sites, offices, and supply chain
Identifying our emissions baseline and key hotspots
Engaging with suppliers and stakeholders to promote sustainable practices
Reviewing opportunities for fleet electrification, energy efficiency, low-carbon materials, and waste reduction
We are also aligning this work with our wider ESG strategy, which prioritises environmental responsibility, social impact, and governance transparency.
The Carbon Reduction Plan will include:
A detailed emissions inventory across all scopes
Targeted carbon reduction measures and milestones
Alignment with relevant frameworks such as the UKGBC Net Zero definition
A clear roadmap towards our long-term Net Zero ambition
We anticipate publishing our Carbon Reduction Plan in the coming months and will ensure it is reviewed and updated annually.
