We’re pleased to share that works are now underway at St Werburgh’s RC Church in Chester, where our team is delivering a four-week refurbishment programme to the former Day Chapel.
Working within a historic and important building such as St Werburgh’s is a responsibility we greatly value. Our approach is focused not only on improving and refreshing the space, but also on respecting and preserving the character, craftsmanship and existing features of the church.
The refurbishment includes internal preparation and redecoration, flooring repairs and new finishes, together with the installation of new electric heating and kitchenette services and fittings.
As part of the programme, our team will also undertake repairs to existing timber and plasterwork, alongside specialist repairs to the leaded-light windows and hopper ventilators.
Working within a historic church environment requires careful planning, attention to detail and a sensitive approach throughout. We are particularly mindful of the original features and finishes within the building, ensuring that the works are carried out safely, thoughtfully and to the highest possible standard, while keeping disruption to a minimum.
It is a privilege for our team to contribute to the ongoing care and improvement of such a significant building, helping to ensure that this important space continues to be enjoyed and valued for years to come.
We look forward to sharing further progress as the project develops over the coming weeks.
