Westvale Primary School Refurbishment

Frank Rogers Building Contractors is currently delivering a detailed refurbishment programme at Westvale Primary School, involving a significant package of structural, architectural, M&E and internal fit-out works.

The project includes the full transformation of the front office and reception area, with works including the strip out of existing stud walls, removal of structural timber beams, installation of new steelwork and structural support columns, new acoustic partitioning, a glazed reception area, new reception desk, sliding entrance doors and canopy.

Our team is also delivering suspended ceilings, new flooring, decoration, the installation of 11 new fire doors, a new staff room kitchen and an extension to the Headteacher’s office.

Alongside the building works, the project includes a full mechanical and electrical upgrade, covering power, lighting, intruder alarm, fire alarm and air conditioning.

A key part of the scheme is the creation of a new sensory room, formed using an acoustic partitioning system and completed with a full fit-out of specialist sensory equipment.

Externally, the works also include the removal of 20 existing uPVC windows, which will be replaced with new aluminium specification windows.

This is a technically varied refurbishment, bringing together structural alterations, fire door installation, acoustic performance, M&E coordination, specialist educational fit-out and external fabric upgrades within one programme.

Projects like this showcase the importance of careful sequencing, strong site management and experienced coordination across multiple trades to deliver high-quality spaces for staff and pupils.
