Unlocking the future of existing buildings

Great to see our Managing Director, Dean Rogers, contribute to Insider Media’s latest Liverpool Innovators roundtable, exploring how reuse, retrofit and decarbonisation can shape a more sustainable and flexible Liverpool City Region.

The discussion brought together leaders from across the built environment, innovation, public sector and development community to look at one of the biggest challenges facing our industry: how we make better use of the buildings we already have.

For us, this is a conversation that really matters.

Across construction, social housing, fire protection, maintenance and decarbonisation, we see first-hand that the future of the built environment is not only about new buildings. It is about improving existing spaces, extending their life, making them safer, more energy efficient and fit for the way people live, learn and work today.

Dean shared our perspective on the role of funding, feasibility and practical delivery, including the importance of making decarbonisation achievable on real projects, not just an ambition on paper.

A brilliant discussion and a topic that will only become more important as Liverpool City Region continues its journey towards net zero.
