FR Foundation Supports Mental Health Programmes at Sean's Place
The Frank Rogers Foundation is proud to announce its £4,160 donation to Sean's Place, a vital men's mental health support organisation in Liverpool. This funding has enabled Sean’s Place to expand its offerings and continue to provide free, life-changing activities aimed at reducing loneliness, isolation, and mental health struggles such as depression and anxiety.
With the foundation’s support, Sean's Place has been able to run essential programmes like mindfulness, yoga, cookery, fitness, and angling sessions, which have had a direct impact on over 1,260 attendees since January. These sessions are designed to foster community, provide a safe space for emotional support, and equip members with coping mechanisms that improve their overall mental well-being.
One member who joined after a series of suicide attempts due to chronic pain has now transformed his life. Through engaging with Sean's Place’s suicide prevention officer, mindfulness, and yoga sessions, he no longer turns to alcohol, has improved relationships with his family, and is finally enjoying life again.
Debbie Rogers, Founder of Sean’s Place, shared, “This donation has not only alleviated the financial strain of delivering key services, but it has also allowed us to expand our programme and increase our impact. We are incredibly grateful for the FR Foundation’s commitment to mental health.”
Dean Rogers, Managing Director of Frank Rogers Building Contractors, expressed his pride in supporting Sean’s Place: "Mental health is a cause close to our hearts at Frank Rogers, and we are delighted that our foundation can make a meaningful difference to those who need it most. Seeing the impact of this programme has been truly inspiring."
The donation has helped to decrease both anxiety and depression levels significantly among participants, making a lasting difference in the community.
