Restoring spaces that tell powerful stories

We’re proud to be working alongside Merseyrail to support Blackburne House, their 2025 Charity of Choice, through the refurbishment of the Eleanor Rathbone Suite.

As part of our appointment to the Merseyrail framework, Frank Rogers has been delivering works to help refresh and revitalise this important events space, including the careful restoration of its traditional flooring.

But this project is about far more than refurbishment.

As Andrea from Blackburne House so beautifully put it:

“If the walls and floors of that space could talk, they would tell powerful stories of achievement and progress, from the pride of women walking across the floor to receive their very first training certificate, to the inspiration sparked at conferences and events dedicated to advancing equity, opportunity, and social change.”

Blackburne House plays a vital role in supporting women across Liverpool through education, training, wellbeing and pathways to independence. By helping bring this space back to life, we’re supporting their ability to host more conferences, events and community bookings, generating vital unrestricted income that can be reinvested directly into their charitable work.

A huge thank you to Merseyrail for involving us in such a meaningful project and for showing how strong partnerships can deliver real, lasting social value.
