We’re proud to announce the successful completion of our laboratory refurbishment project at Shavington Academy.
Delivered by Frank Rogers Building Contractors, the project has transformed Science Rooms S5, S6 and S7, creating modern, functional and compliant science teaching spaces designed to support students and staff for years to come.
The works included the full refurbishment of the existing laboratory areas, including:
- Removal of redundant laboratory furniture, fixtures, finishes and services
- Upgraded mechanical and electrical installations
- New floor, wall and ceiling finishes
- Specialist laboratory furniture and equipment
- New plumbing, electrical and associated services
- Joinery and enabling works to support the completed spaces
Working within a live school environment and delivering the project during the summer period required careful planning, safe segregation and close coordination across all trades. Our site team worked hard to maintain a safe and efficient programme while minimising disruption and keeping the project moving towards handover.
We’re delighted to see the completed laboratories ready to provide an improved learning environment and enhanced science facilities for future generations of students.
A huge well done to Dominic Gregory and everyone involved in delivering the project, from our site teams and supply chain partners through to the academy and wider project team.
Another education project successfully delivered. Another space ready for the next generation to learn, explore and innovate.
