UNITED FOR CHANGE: FRANK ROGERS FOUNDATION COLLABORATES TO ALLEVIATE UNIFORM BURDENS FOR FAMILIES IN NEED

Plus Dane £3,500

With our contribution of £3,500, we partnered with Plus Dane and Cash for Kids to provide school uniforms to families in need, helping students start their academic year with confidence. Total raised was £10,000.

In a landmark initiative that cements community ties, the Frank Rogers Foundation, in its first act since inception last week, united with Plus Dane and Radio City's Cash for Kids today to unveil an impactful donation of nearly £10,000. This heartening act, centred in Liverpool's bustling neighbourhoods, is all about ensuring every child stepped into school with confidence this September.

The collective endeavour saw the Frank Rogers Foundation contributing £3,500, Plus Dane’s mitigation fund generously adding £3,610.60, and Cash for Kids making a significant donation of £2,500, culminating in a comprehensive effort to support families in need.

The rising cost of school uniforms has been a longstanding issue for families across the UK, often posing an insurmountable challenge for those on limited incomes. Recent data indicates a grim scenario, with parents revealing that uniform expenses have overtaken half of their total monthly earnings as they battle living through the UK's worst cost of living crisis in a generation.

Plus Dane's visionary approach aims to lighten this burden, supplemented with contributions from Radio City's Cash for Kids and a debut donation from the newly launched Frank Rogers Foundation.

Ian Reed, Chief Executive at Plus Dane, said:

“We are really grateful to the Frank Rogers Foundation and Cash for Kids for their generous contributions, that made sure we could provide so many families with brand new uniform essentials. The cost of uniforms is a big expense in preparation for the new school year, and we are seeing more and more people struggling with it. This partnership is just one example of our ongoing commitment to supporting families in our communities through the cost-of-living crisis.”

This synergy has resulted in a swift, effective outreach, ensuring 131 children from 62 households now have the essential uniforms they need. The powerful triad focuses on weaving a brighter narrative for children aged 4 to 17, making sure both education and dignity are within easy reach.

Dean Rogers, Director of Frank Rogers' proudly remarked:

"Today's donation, in partnership with Plus Dane and Radio City's Cash for Kids, solidifies our Foundation's commitment to community betterment. As we've built structures over the decades, we recognise the importance of supporting the foundations of our local families. This is just the beginning, and we're proud to play a part in making a tangible difference. It was an honour to have the presence and endorsement of the Lord Mayor of Liverpool and Councillor for Everton, Ellie Byrne. Their support and gratitude for the initiative further amplified the community's collective efforts and the importance of such collaborations.”.
