Over the summer we delivered the first phase of a £1.45m programme at Overleigh St Mary’s CE Primary School on behalf of Chester Diocesan Academies Trust.
The initial works were tailored for first-year primary students, ensuring classrooms were refurbished, new finishes installed and services upgraded so that everything was ready for children attending school for the very first time.
Alongside these improvements, we commenced urgent fire safety, electrical compliance and window replacement works, including:
Fire & Electrical Safety – installation of compliant emergency lighting, replacement of defective fire doors, upgraded distribution boards and sub-mains to BS7671, new fire signage and full compartmentation measures above and below ceilings.
Window Replacement – installation of new powder-coated aluminium and uPVC double-glazed units achieving U-values of 1.5 W/m²K, Teleflex opening mechanisms, and associated internal/external making good.
With the new term now underway, the remaining programme—additional classroom improvements, service upgrades and finishing touches—will be delivered in phased stages during term time, keeping the school fully operational and safe for staff and pupils.
As Principal Contractor, Frank Rogers has developed a full Construction Phase Plan, working closely with the Trust and design partners to coordinate health, safety and safeguarding throughout delivery.
A huge thank you to our site team and supply chain partners for their continued efforts in delivering these essential upgrades safely, efficiently and in line with statutory compliance requirements.
