New Project Live – Safeguarding & Access Improvements at St John Rigby College, Wigan

Frank Rogers Building Contractors are proud to have been appointed to deliver significant safeguarding and accessibility upgrades at St John Rigby College in Wigan — creating a safer, more accessible, and modernised front-of-house environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Scope of Works Includes:

-Construction of a new slip road, drop-off zone, and pedestrian route to improve site access and traffic flow

-Installation of dedicated disabled parking bays in line with DDA compliance
Demolition of existing entrance and construction of a new front-of-house structure, including:

• Curtain walling system
• Adaptation of existing Brise Soleil solar shading
• Two new entrance lobbies with secure access
• New reception office, meeting space, and accessible WC
•Full internal reconfiguration of the reception area with integrated turnstiles for enhanced safeguarding and entry control

These works form a key part of the college’s strategic campus improvements and reflect our commitment to delivering environments that are not only modern and functional, but prioritise safety, inclusion, and long-term value.
