Frank Rogers has helped kick off a season of footballing fun, erecting a temporary outdoor five a side football pitch in Liverpool’s iconic Albert Dock as part of Everton in the Community and LFC’s summer campaign.
‘Summer Football on the Dock’ sees a huge outdoor artificial set up in the Dock’s courtyard with free coaching sessions throughout the Summer. Boys and girls of all ages and abilities are invited to drop by and join in on the action
The Frank Rogers team spent a week erecting the temporary pitch, laying plywood plinths on timber bearers in preparation for the artificial turf.
Dean Rogers, Managing Director at Frank Rogers commented:
“We are carrying out a number of different and varied works for Gower Street Estates, who manage Albert Dock, this being the latest.
“The contract was fairly straight forward and was carried out within a relatively tight timescale to ensure the groups were up and running for the summer fun to begin!”
The initiative is now underway and alongside basic skills and drills, Edict will also provide sessions involving its disability team who will display their football technique in a series of demos, as well as the chance to experience what it is like to play football without your sight – testing your senses and skills to the maximum!
There will also be the chance to learn from the Everton Ladies and the Ladies’ coaching staff who will be holding regular sessions to inspire and engage girls with a passion for the beautiful game.
