Project Description
Riverside Housing Group ‘Own Place’ Phase 5
Overview
The Riverside Housing ‘Own Place’ scheme allows buyers, who may struggle to make their first steps on to property ladder, to own their own home. Riverside focus on areas where homes may need significant investment and improvement, breathing new life into each property and surrounding area, selling them on at a 25% discount, with incentives for buyers to remain as owner occupiers for a minimum of five years.
Frank Rogers has been involved in this initiative since it was launched in 2007 and had successfully negotiated the four previous phases. The scheme has been awarded the ‘Best use of Stock’ accolade at the prestigious UK Housing awards.
Phase 5, a £1.2million scheme carried out over 40 weeks included a range of Multi-Disciplined works including new kitchens and bathroom installations, electrical rewires, new heating systems, roof works, damp course and more. Frank Rogers worked closely with Riverside across all five phases contributing to the decision making process regarding scope of works and budgets, taking into consideration cost constraints and end values.
Dean Rogers, Managing Director at Frank Rogers said:
“As a multi-disciplined contractor, we were able to supprt Riverside through the decisions making process, ensuring that budgets were allocated wisely and ultimately would enhance end value and benefit future homeowners.”
