Golden Gates HousingGolden Gates Housing Trust – Disabled Adaptations & Bathroom Replacements

Client: Golden Gates Housing trust
Value: £500,000 approx

Overview

Frank Rogers has completed a large scale disabled adaption programme for Golden Gates Housing Association, replacing existing bathrooms and wet rooms at 130 properties in Warrington.

Golden Gates identified the single storey bungalows as being in need of modernisation with improved disabled support for elderly and vulnerable people living in the properties. Planning was critical to ensure the day to day lives of the residents were affected as little as possible and works were carried out under a strict programme and schedule of works.

Close liaison with Golden Gates’ project manager (Awais Mohamed) was key and daily meetings were held to discuss progress. Bathrooms were removed on a phased basis starting at the beginning of the week and works at each property were completed within five working days with 12 properties completed each week.

Both tenant and customer satisfaction was particularly high at the project with the standard of workmanship, general approach and attitude of the site team as well as delivery and handover praised and recognised.

Mike Travis, Contracts Manager at Frank Rogers said:

“This scheme has been delivered on time within budget, sustaining consistently high standards of workmanship and final product. We understand the challenges and issues faced when working with older and vulnerable people and have been determined to ensure the project was managed and ran as somoorthly and efficiently as possible.”
