MAJOR ROOF REPLACEMENT PROGRAMME AT FORMER WALTON HOSPITAL

MAJOR ROOF REPLACEMENT PROGRAMME AT FORMER WALTON HOSPITAL

Frank Rogers has been awarded a large scale roof replacement and refurbishment programme at Vale Lodge, a housing development set on the site of the former Walton Hospital.

Under the conversion, over 90 flats were created as part of an affordable housing scheme now managed by social landlord, Your Housing Group. The vast building is in need of a range of repairs including a new roof, replacement lintels and repairs to the basement.

Sean Fleming, Contracts Manager at Frank Rogers is managing the schedule of works. He commented;

“This is a vast building and the roof area is huge. There is water ingress throughout and a full replacement programme is essential.”

The project will take some 14 to 16 weeks to complete during which time a Frank Rogers Tenant Liaison Officer will work closely with residents and members of Your Housing Group ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Sean added:

“This is logistically challenging due to the sheer size and the number of flats and people who will be affected by the works. Planning has been crucial to delivering a successful scheme especially working in close proximity of other major development schemes”.

Frank Rogers continue to work on a regular basis with Your Housing Group undertaking planned and reactive maintenance works to homes throughout Merseyside.

Stephen Maddocks, Asset Investment Manager of Your Housing Group added:

“The significant repair and improvement works at Vale Lodge valuing over £500,000 will maintain the asset for years to come. Frank Rogers have meticulously programmed works ensuring residents and adjoining businesses remain unaffected, resulting in positive satisfaction levels all round.”
