Residents at Churchill Court in Elsmere Court, a Plus Dane managed older persons scheme, are now enjoying a new communal kitchen area, thanks to Frank Rogers and Magnet Kitchens.
Churchill Court is made up of five blocks of sheltered flats which are allocated predominantly to people over the age of 55. The communal kitchen is used regularly by the residents from all five blocks to host lunch clubs, bingo, knitting and other community events. The area had become tired and in need of a refresh and refurbishment. Frank Rogers and Magnet were both keen to help and donated their products, materials and services free of charge to give the kitchen a full makeover.
Both firms are involved in the large scale kitchen replacement programme currently being carried out in Ellemere Port on behalf of Plus Dane.
Helen Durie, Customer Services Manager at Frank Rogers said:
“We’ve been working within the local community for some time now as part of our kitchen replacement programme. We spoke to residents at Churchill Court to find out how we could help out and they were all unanimous in that the communal kitchen was in a definite need of replacement.
“Magnet has supplied the entire kitchen whilst we supplied tiles and flooring as well as our services to remove and install. The kitchen is complete now and we’re really pleased to see lots more activity in and around that area.”
